In 2020, the Altair team confirmed via Twitter that the series will soon come to an end. More recently, the manga’s official Twitter account revealed that the 25th and last volume of the series will be made available on 9 March 2022.

Altair: A Record of Battles is a historical fantasy set in the war-impending homeland of protagonist Tughril Mahmut, the country’s youngest leader in its military forces. Tughril is a pasha under the Türkiye Devleti’s council, made up of warmongers and pacifists. There is a division between these two groups, which motivates Tughril to desperately keep the peace. Amidst the politics, friends, and enemies of his homeland, Turghil will do anything to ensure that war does not break out - and figure out what to do if it does.

Fans of historical fiction will enjoy reading Altair: A Record of Battles. Should you start reading the series now, thankfully you won’t have to endure the agonizing wait for the next installment as the final arc of the story will be released soon in Japan.
